PARKING ENFORCEMENT

 

 

The Parking Enforcement Officer patrols the downtown area streets and parking lots and enforces the various parking laws and ordinances of the City.  Parking violations consisting of overtime parking, parking in leased stalls, parking outside of the markings, parking where signs or markings prohibit and parking in handicapped stalls are many of the complaints and violations dealt with on a daily basis.  Although many parking tickets are issued the main focus of the Parking Enforcement Officer is to gain the maximum amount of lawful parking compliance. Our Parking Enforcement Officer works towards this compliance by not only issuing parking tickets but also by taking the time to talk with the public and educate them on the City's parking ordinances.
